Each skill is a folder holding a SKILL.md file with its own scripts and references, written in the same open format Claude Code and other agents read.

What it includes
Loaded only when needed
The agent sees each skill's name and description, and reads its full instructions only when a task calls for it, so a long list of skills stays light.
Run it yourself or let the agent
Type a slash to start any skill yourself, or set one so only people start it or only the agent picks it up.
A model per skill
A skill can ask for a quicker model for routine work or a more capable one for hard reasoning.
Scripts beside the instructions
A skill carries its own scripts and reference files, so a step that must come out the same every time runs as code.
What a project holds
A project can hold instructions, skills, tools, an app and a connection to an outside service, and its row shows which of these it has.
